  1. Font Viewer, Version 1.1

  3. Font Viewer Installation:
  4.  
  5. Run SETUP.EXE using the RUN command in Program Manager.  You
  6. may run SETUP.EXE from any directory or disk as long as you
  7. have all of the included files in the same directory. (If you
  8. are using Norton Desktop, you MUST run SETUP.EXE from Program
  9. Manager or there may be a DDE error. This is a problem with
  10. the Visual Basic Setup Program. If you do get this error, you
  11. should press "Continue".) There may also be a problem if you 
  12. have a Visual Basic Program running during installation. If you 
  13. get an error message, restart Windows and install Font Viewer 
  14. before running any other programs.

  16. Setup will install the latest version of the following in your
  17. Windows\System Directory. If you have a more current version,
  18. Setup will NOT replace them:
  19.     VER.DLL
  20.     SETUPKIT.DLL
  21.     VBRUN300.DLL
  22.     SPIN.VBX
  23.     THREED3.VBX
  24.  
  25. Setup will install the Font Viewer Setup Program SETUP1.EXE in
  26. the Windows Directory. You may delete this if you wish.

  28. Setup will create a directory C:\FONTVIEW (or you may choose
  29. another directory at the prompt) and install the Program
  30. FONTVIEW.EXE. If you decide to remove Font Viewer later on, you
  31. should remove only FONTVIEW.EXE and SETUP1.EXE. Other programs
  32. you are using may already have installed the other files.
  33. Deleting them may cause problems with other programs you have
  34. which might expect them. You might want to check first to see
  35. if any of the above files are on your disk now.

  37. Instructions for Font Viewer can be found by clicking Help. 
  38. Unless otherwise stated, Font Viewer uses all Windows Standard 
  39. editing and selecting features.

  41. Files which you should have before intallation are:
  42.     SETUP.EXE    Installation program
  43.     FONTVIEW.EX_    Compressed Font Viewer program
  44.     SETUP1.EX_    Font Viewer Installation Program
  45.     SETUP.LST    Setup.exe needs this for installation
  46.     SETUPKIT.DL_    FVSETUP.EXE needs this for instllation
  47.     SPIN.VB_    Font Viewer Needs this to run
  48.     THREED3.VB_    Font Viewer Needs this to run
  49.     VBRUN300.DL_    Font Viewer Needs this to run
  50.     VER.DL_        Setup.exe and SETUP1.EXE need this to
  51.             check to make sure a later version of a
  52.             program is not overwritten by an
  53.             earlier version during instllation.
  54.     READ.ME        This file
  55.     READ.M_        A compressed version of this file 
  56.             for installation.
